The device warns you by sound and by the display when any road hazard is approached whitin 500 meters. After the displaying of the type of hazard you have the time to prepare/react to the situation, e.g. by slowing down.

The GPS DETECTOR comes with a pre-installed database which contains all the fixed cameras and road hazards. The high sensitivity GPS receiver constantly check the current position and compare to the database. If a dangerous zone is approached (i.e. a fixed camera) the device signals.

You can download the database update from this webpage for free. The database can be updated by connecting the device to a PC via a standard USB port (cable included).

The device can indicate various road hazards like: Fixed cameras, Red light speed cameras and bus lane cameras, Usual speed measurement places and dangerous zones. The warn for these hazards can be turned on or off individually.

You can save or delete locations (e.g. fixed cameras, dangerous places) as user points by yourself.
